TIPS or using the Sculpey Tools Clay Blades: When creating with clay it is always easier to cut your bar into sections instead of working with the whole bar at one time. Use the long rigid blade for sectioning bars of clay, making straight cuts or trimming the edges of a mokume gane slab. When slicing off the top layers of a mokume gane slab use the flexible blade as this gives you the most control since you only want to take thin layers off of it. The flexible blade is also great cutting curved shapes in slabs for jewelry or clay veneers.
